Wisconsin Early Childhood Association (WECA) is a premier nonprofit association serving the electrical and low voltage industry through workforce development, education, advocacy, and contractor support. They are seeking a Senior Manager, Marketing, Communications & Growth to lead and execute marketing strategies while driving organizational growth. The role involves developing marketing plans, overseeing brand messaging, and optimizing digital marketing efforts to enhance member engagement and education product growth.
Responsibilities:
- Lead development and execution of WECA’s integrated marketing strategy aligned with organizational goals, member and student engagement, education product growth, and revenue priorities
- Write comprehensive marketing plans and own their implementation
- Conduct competitive analyses and deliver regular competitive intelligence reports to inform strategic and go-to-market decisions
- Use market trends, audience behavior, customer insights, and performance data to inform strategy, messaging, and campaign direction
- Track and optimize marketing performance, including campaign effectiveness, return on marketing investment, lead generation, engagement, and conversion outcomes
- Support revenue forecasting and performance tracking for non-apprenticeship education products from a market and demand-generation perspective
- Own WECA’s brand voice, messaging, and storytelling across digital, written, visual, and external communications
- Draft, edit, and review communications that require strong writing, grammar, clarity, tone, executive judgment, and organizational awareness
- Develop and support executive-level communications, public-facing messaging, media alerts, press releases, and high-visibility organizational communications
- Serve as a quality gatekeeper for external communications, ensuring materials are polished, accurate, professional, and aligned with WECA’s reputation and standards
- Plan and execute multi-channel campaigns across digital, print, email, web, social media, and industry channels
- Oversee paid media strategy, SEO/SEM, website content, analytics, and digital performance reporting
- Use tools such as Google Analytics, website metrics, campaign analytics, and related platforms to assess performance and improve outcomes
- Lead website and customer-experience improvement efforts, working with internal teams or external partners to improve clarity, usability, engagement, and conversion
- Partner with Education leadership to align WECA’s non-apprenticeship education offerings with market demand, customer needs, and growth priorities
- Translate education programs into clear, compelling value propositions for target audiences, including contractors, non-member participants, students, and other industry stakeholders
- Define and refine target audience segments, identify market opportunities, and help improve engagement, conversion, participation, and revenue outcomes
- Provide market-based input into positioning, pricing, offer structure, campaign strategy, and customer feedback loops while the CEPO retains ownership of product design and lifecycle
- Contribute directly to content creation and editing, including digital, written, video, social, web, and campaign materials
- Provide creative direction and review for video, photography, design, print, and digital content to ensure WECA is represented accurately and professionally
- Identify details that may affect brand, credibility, safety, tone, or professionalism before content is published or distributed
- Maintain and improve content standards, asset use, and campaign consistency across channels
- Work closely with Membership to support WECA’s relationship-driven engagement and conversion model
- Support marketing-driven interest as it transitions into meaningful conversations, member engagement, course participation, and long-term relationships
- Lead, coach, and support marketing team members while maintaining strong standards for quality, responsiveness, and accountability
- Manage workflows, priorities, timelines, and resource allocation across multiple projects and stakeholder requests
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, growth marketing, product marketing, or a closely related field
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing multi-channel marketing strategies and campaigns
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, communication, and messaging skills, including the ability to review and improve content before publication
- Hands-on digital marketing experience, including website, SEO/SEM, digital campaigns, analytics, and performance review
- Experience using data and performance insights to adjust marketing strategy and improve engagement, conversion, participation, or revenue outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to translate programs, services, or technical offerings into clear, market-relevant messaging and value propositions
- Experience leading projects, managing priorities, coordinating stakeholders, and moving work forward independently
- Leadership experience, including supervising, coaching, coordinating, or setting standards for team members, vendors, or cross-functional contributors
- Experience in nonprofit, association, education, workforce development, construction, electrical, skilled trades, or similar mission-driven environments
- Experience marketing education products, training programs, professional services, membership offerings, or other products that require audience understanding and trust-building
- Experience leading website redesign, customer-experience improvement, CRM, eCommerce, or digital platform improvement efforts
- Experience supporting both strategy and hands-on execution in a smaller, growing, or multi-functional organization
