Senior Civil Engineer - Land Development

BL Companies is an employee-owned firm that provides engineering, architecture, land surveying, and environmental consulting services. They are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to oversee land development projects, manage client relationships, and ensure project deliverables meet quality, budget, and timeline requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and execution of retail, commercial, and residential land development projects
• Act as the primary client contact, building strong relationships and managing expectations
• Oversee project teams, assign resources, and drive efficiency
• Ensure projects meet all quality, schedule, and budgetary requirements
• Present at public meetings and represent clients before agencies and stakeholders
• Collaborate across multiple disciplines within BL Companies and with external partners
• Mentor junior engineers and staff, fostering a strong learning environment

Requirements:

• PE License required
• 8+ years of experience in land development engineering
• Proven leadership experience managing full-time staff
• Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations
• Experience with municipal agencies, regulatory bodies, and private sector clients
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
