Software Engineer

Voltus is a leading company for Distributed Energy Resources (DERs). They are seeking a Software Engineer to join their remote team, where the candidate will build scalable software, tackle complex energy industry challenges, and collaborate on core systems that decarbonize the grid.

Responsibilities:

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code to support the team’s projects
• Contribute to the design and implementation of new features and services
• Collaborate with your team to troubleshoot and resolve issues in our production environment
• Participate in code reviews to learn from and contribute to the team's shared knowledge
• Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
• Foundational programming skills in a backend language like Python
• A strong desire to learn and grow as a software engineer
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• A genuine passion for our mission to create a cleaner, more resilient energy future
• Authorization to work in the US or Canada without sponsorship
