DevOps Engineer

Ocho is a company looking for a DevOps Engineer who will be the technical face of the business for customers using their platform in complex cloud and Kubernetes environments. The role involves diagnosing problems, working closely with product and engineering teams, and contributing to customer satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for enterprise customers, diagnosing and resolving issues across the platform, Kubernetes, AWS, and third-party integrations
• Investigate and resolve complex problems across distributed production environments — analysing logs, metrics, and system behaviour with precision
• Reproduce issues, document findings clearly, and escalate to engineering with well-structured root cause analysis
• Partner with product and engineering teams to validate fixes, close feedback loops, and advocate for customer needs in the roadmap
• Support customers through onboarding, configuration, and deployment — ensuring they adopt best practices from day one
• Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting guides that scale the team's impact
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of support processes, tooling, and operational readiness
• Identify patterns in customer issues that signal product gaps or commercial risk, and surface these proactively to internal stakeholders

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in a technical support, systems engineering, SRE, or DevOps-related role
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containers in production environments — you know your way around clusters, deployments, and troubleshooting at the workload level
• Solid AWS experience; familiarity with cloud infrastructure, networking, and IAM
• Strong troubleshooting skills across distributed systems — comfortable working with logs, metrics, and observability tooling
• Linux fundamentals and solid understanding of networking concepts
• Ability to read and understand application code (Go, Python, or similar) to support debugging and root cause analysis
• Excellent written and verbal communication — able to explain complex technical issues clearly to both engineers and business stakeholders
• A commercially aware mindset — understanding that customer outcomes drive retention and growth
• Kubernetes certifications (CKA or equivalent)
• Experience supporting enterprise SaaS products or working within a customer success environment
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
