ServiceNow Business Analyst

Brooksource is a company that works directly with federal integrator clients on active government contracts. As a ServiceNow Business Analyst, you will partner with clients to uncover business needs and translate them into actionable specifications for development teams.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements for the OGE application
• Translate business needs into clear user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria for development teams
• Manage and maintain the Jira project board, tracking tasks, issues, and progress to ensure project schedules are met
• Develop and present status reports and progress trackers to provide transparent visibility into development milestones
• Identify gaps between business needs and proposed solutions, proactively surface risks or blockers to the broader team

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in a Business Analyst or combined BA/QA role, preferably within an Agile software development environment
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and quality assurance methodologies
• Hands-on experience with Jira or similar project tracking tools for backlog management and progress reporting
• Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to translate complex information for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience
