Functional Safety Engineer

Rainbow Dynamics is a global warehouse robotics technology company developing advanced automation solutions. They are looking for an experienced Functional Safety Engineer to support the development of safety documentation and calculations for their robotic automation systems.

Responsibilities:

• Develop functional safety documentation according to ISO 13849-1
• Perform safety calculations using SISTEMA or equivalent tools
• Prepare:
• Functional Safety Calculation Reports
• Safety Requirement Specification (SRS)
• Safety-related control system (SRP/CS) documentation
• Verification & Validation (V&V) documentation
• Safety compliance documentation
• Review and validate safety architectures including:
• Safety PLCs (Siemens preferred)
• Safety scanners
• Emergency stops
• Servo drives and STO functions
• Protective devices and interlocks
• Support risk assessment and safety validation activities for robotic systems

Requirements:

• Proven experience in functional safety engineering for industrial machinery or robotics
• Strong knowledge of: ISO 13849-1
• Performance Level (PL) calculations
• SISTEMA software
• Safety-related control systems (SRP/CS)
• Experience with: AGV/AMR systems
• Warehouse automation
• Robotics or industrial machinery
• Siemens safety PLC systems (ET200SP / Safety Integrated preferred)
• Ability to read electrical schematics and understand safety circuits
• Experience preparing documentation for international customers
• Experience with CE Machinery compliance
• Experience working with European, Japanese, or US industrial customers
• TÜV Functional Safety certification is a plus
