Job Description:
The Nebraska Department of Transportation/ Business Technology Support Division is seeking a dedicated C# Application Developer/Analyst who can perform analysis, design and development for crash reporting system application.
Under general direction, this position would be responsible for analyzing, designing, and developing on the designated project ensuring that the goals and objectives of the project are accomplished within the prescribed timeframe and requirements. This role requires strong background in .NET, C#, API development, and enterprise integrations, with specific experience with crash reporting solutions and PAR MMUCC. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across the full software development lifecycle in an Agile/Scrum environment. The ideal candidate is a proactive and forward-thinking developer who can take ownership of projects and lead technical initiatives. This role requires the ability to independently drive solutions, identify opportunities for improvement, and contribute to the advancement of modern development practices. This person must have excellent relationship building skills. Skills necessary are using MVC pattern with MSF C#.NET, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and XML. This person must be able to perform Process Flow Analysis.
Requirements:
Qualified applicants will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Technical degree in Computer Science/Software Development (or equivalent combination of education and minimum 7+ year s web/software development experience).
Minimum 7 years of software development experience.

Key Responsibilities:
o Design, develop, test, and maintain .NET-based web applications
o Build and support integrations and API-based solutions
o Develop and consume APIs and web services
o Develop XSD and XML integrations
o Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and refine requirements
o Translate requirements into technical designs and solutions
o Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Standups, Reviews)
o Ensure adherence to coding standards, security, and best practices
o Troubleshoot and enhance application
o Support deployment
Education Requirements:
o Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field OR
o Equivalent combination of education and 7+ years of relevant experience
Additional Requirements:
o Temporarily hybrid: position will transition to 100% onsite in Lincoln, NE
o Must have reliable attendance
o Must be able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
