Manager, Engineering - Endpoint Security

Arctic Wolf is a cybersecurity company focused on leading change in the industry. They are seeking a Manager, Engineering to oversee development activities, ensure projects align with company objectives, and manage team dynamics to deliver innovative software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Generates and manages day to day work for team(s)
• Works with Product Team to define and deliver on the 6-month roadmap
• Is also a key contributor to longer term planning and strategy with their director
• Execution of process and accountable for the outcome of the R&D team
• Manage team(s) that will deliver high quality, innovative software solutions, in collaboration with stakeholders such as architects, developers, product managers, CSEs and prod support people
• Support the team by providing direction, clarity and removing obstacles
• Instill Foundations of R&D in their teams by living them on a daily basis
• Execute the Product roadmap
• Ensure teams are highly motivated, performing well, and delivering work on time
• Remove any blockers preventing teams from getting their work done
• Make sure each team is clear on the objectives and goals they are striving to achieve
• Work with team members to deliver the key features
• Work with Architects to define and execute on the company's technical roadmap
• Drives continuous improvement in engineering processes and champions adoption of secure coding standards
• Oversee the full software development life cycle
• Ensure their teams is following ISMS regulations

• Manage and approve conference and training budgets
• Involved in helping set and manage the Directorate level budget
• Has strong financial management skills
• Lead recruitment efforts for their team(s) for both full-time and co-op employees
• Be a key contributor to planning, hiring and recruitment strategy for their teams

Requirements:

• 8 years' experience in software development or related role or Master's degree + 2 years' experience in software development management, engineering leadership, or related role
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Background in networking, security, or distributed systems
• Strong ownership mindset—comfortable driving issues independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Multi-platform OS experience (Windows, macOS, Linux)
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
• Scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ruby)
