Cimpress Technology develops cutting-edge software for mass customization businesses, serving over 17 million customers globally. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to collaborate with teams, design solutions, and shape technical direction in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product managers to understand the business use cases and define software requirements and specifications
- Contribute individually towards software deliverables and own them throughout the lifecycle; design and implement Backend APIs, integrate the APIs with data stores, build user friendly UIs, implement observability and monitoring tools like New Relic
- Provide guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues
- Conduct code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality and consistency
- Document software designs, processes, and APIs for team reference
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or any related field
- 4+ years of relevant software development experience
- React, Node, DSA
- Have very strong English written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills
- Have experience with one of the languages/frameworks, preferably C#, Java, Typescript, Golang; most of the services use node js
- Have delivered features using APIs using the HTTP Protocol - REST, gRPC, graphql; REST APIs is a must have
- Have experience working with databases; have worked with at least one relational database; know about NoSQL databases
- Have very good analytical and debugging skills
- Write clean, testable code; have a knack for automation test suites on CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate virtually with team members and stakeholders with multiple functions and levels
- Know how applications are deployed in a Cloud environment like AWS/GCP or Azure, etc; AWS is preferred. Hands on experience is a plus
- Know how the scaling of the applications can be done
- Know the concepts of DevOps and CI/CD Pipelines; Gitlab hands on is a plus
