SmartLight Analytics is seeking a strategic, customer-focused Product Manager to join their Product and Technology organization. This role is responsible for defining product vision, driving roadmap execution, and ensuring product investments deliver measurable value to customers and the business.
Responsibilities:
- Define and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with company objectives
- Identify market opportunities, customer pain points, and business needs through stakeholder engagement, research, and data analysis
- Prioritize product initiatives based on customer value, business impact, technical feasibility, and strategic alignment
- Develop business cases and success metrics for product investments
- Maintain and evolve product roadmaps to support organizational priorities and changing market conditions
- Partner with executive leadership to ensure product strategy aligns with overall business goals
- Collaborate with customers, internal stakeholders, and subject matter experts to understand needs and define product requirements
- Translate business objectives into detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Lead product discovery efforts, including process analysis, workflow design, and feature validation
- Facilitate stakeholder discussions to align requirements, priorities, and expected outcomes
- Define and document product functionality, workflows, and business rules
- Ensure solutions address both current needs and long-term scalability requirements
- Own and maintain product backlogs, ensuring priorities are clearly communicated and development-ready
- Partner with engineering and QA teams throughout the development lifecycle
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and release planning activities
- Make informed trade-off decisions that balance scope, timelines, quality, and business value
- Validate completed work against requirements and acceptance criteria
- Support successful product launches and adoption initiatives
- Define, monitor, and report on product KPIs and success metrics
- Analyze product usage, customer feedback, and operational performance to identify improvement opportunities
- Drive continuous enhancement of product capabilities based on data-driven insights
- Partner with stakeholders to assess product effectiveness and business outcomes
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies relevant to SmartLight’s business
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, or a related product leadership role within a B2B SaaS, healthcare technology, or enterprise software environment
- Demonstrated experience owning product roadmaps and delivering customer-facing software solutions
- Strong understanding of product management methodologies, agile development practices, and software delivery processes
- Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into actionable product specifications
- Proven ability to prioritize competing requests and make data-driven decisions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate product performance and business impact
- Experience working closely with engineering teams and technical stakeholders
- Hands-on experience with Jira or similar product management tools
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to influence and drive alignment across cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and execution excellence
- Experience in healthcare technology, healthcare analytics, payment integrity, or claims management solutions
- Knowledge of healthcare claims data, benefits administration, or employer-sponsored healthcare plans
- Experience launching and scaling data-driven or analytics-focused products
- Familiarity with AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, or healthcare data platforms
- Experience working in high-growth organizations and evolving product environments
- MBA or equivalent combination of education and relevant product management experience
- Product management certifications such as Pragmatic, AIPMM, CSPO, or similar credentials
