Georgia IT, Inc. is seeking a Senior Technology Program Manager with a strong understanding of Data to oversee and drive the successful delivery of complex technology projects and programs. The role involves collaborating with both business and technology stakeholders to bridge the gap between business objectives and technical implementation, ensuring effective communication and execution.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of data-focused projects and programs
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies
- Track and communicate progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders, ensuring successful delivery within budget and time constraints
- Possess a deep understanding of data management, data governance, data analytics, and related technologies
- Provide guidance on best practices, data quality assurance, data integration, and data security measures to ensure the successful implementation of data projects
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, including data owners, analysts, and subject matter experts, to understand their needs, priorities, and requirements
- Effectively translate these requirements into actionable project plans and technical specifications for the technology team
- Build and lead cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, developers, and business analysts
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment to ensure successful project execution
- Identify potential risks and issues related to data projects and work proactively to develop mitigation plans
- Monitor and address risks throughout the project lifecycle to minimize any negative impact on project outcomes
- Collaborate with technology stakeholders, such as IT infrastructure teams, software development teams, and database administrators, to ensure smooth integration of data projects into existing technology environments
- Manage project budgets and allocate resources effectively to ensure optimal utilization while meeting project goals and timelines
- Drive process improvements and optimize project management methodologies to enhance project efficiency and delivery success
- Provide regular updates and status reports to executive leadership and relevant stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational goals
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus
- Proven experience (typically 7+ years) in program/project management, with a focus on data-related initiatives
- Strong understanding of data management principles, data governance, data analytics, and data security
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with business and technical stakeholders
- Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams to drive successful project outcomes
- Proficient in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum, JIRA)
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong business acumen and the ability to align technology solutions with business objectives
- Experience in risk management and the ability to anticipate and address potential project roadblocks
- Prior experience in technology consulting or a technology leadership role is a plus
