Software Engineer

Game Plan Tech is a mission-driven consulting and services firm focused on helping government teams access innovative technologies. They are seeking multiple candidates for the Software Engineer role to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software that impacts mission outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and test software applications and systems
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues
• Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software development
• Contribute to the improvement of development processes and tools

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of experience in software development
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, Go)
• Experience with cloud computing platforms like GCP/AWS/Azure, databases like SQL or NoSQL, and version control systems like Git
• Experience with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for software development and a desire to learn and grow
