Experienced Software Engineer

Automattic is a global company behind WordPress.com and other popular platforms, dedicated to making the web a better place. They are seeking experienced software engineers to contribute to their product ecosystem and help shape the future of their offerings.

Responsibilities:

• Help Automattic’s product ecosystem
• Shape the future of our products
• Debugging any problem
• Work with several programming languages, frameworks, and paradigms
• Understand layers of abstraction
• Work at scale
• Travel 3-4 weeks per year to meet up with teammates

Requirements:

• You have production experience with several programming languages, frameworks, and paradigms
• You are comfortable with the idea of becoming an expert in PHP and JavaScript
• You have experience working at scale – it can be on the backend and performance side, or via the complexity of interacting with a multi-million diverse userbase
• You are open and able to travel 3-4 weeks per year to meet up with your teammates in person
