George T. Hall Company is a system integrator recognized for its legacy and innovation in automation and control solutions. They are seeking a Business Development Engineer to grow their business in Northern California by developing new business opportunities and supporting vendor leads in various industries such as aerospace and pharmaceuticals.
Responsibilities:
- Increase GTH market share through phone and field visits
- Participate in industry events by attending trade shows, vendor events, and association programs
- Monitor competitive activity and trends within the industry
- Follow Project Management processes and initiatives
- Collaborate with executives and marketing group to develop sales & marketing plans
- Support Customer Service activities with field visits
- Assist with customer communication across different departments
- Prepare quotations for products and/or services
- Negotiate terms of sale with customer that aligns with GTH policy
- Responsible for meeting established sales goals. Create and realize business development plan and sales/market forecasts
- Maintain personal goals and department OKRs
- Manage, maintain, and document activities, & opportunities in CRM system
- Prepare accurate and timely reports as required by management
- Ensure positive relationships with internal partners, clients, and vendors to maintain the company’s reputation in the industry
- Educate customers on GTH products & services
- Act as Project Manager on won projects
- Collaborate with Engineering and Production to design and build custom solutions
- Train and educate internal partners on company processes and services
- Implement training in technology and products as well as product and software demonstrations
- Actively seek training to increase knowledge of relevant products and services
- Other duties as needed
Requirements:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Mastery of sales philosophy and techniques
- Familiarity with system integration and industrial controls
- Comfortability working with key decisions makers
- Integrity and the ability to establish credibility and develop and sustain customer relationships
