Altimetrik is a company that specializes in software development and testing, and they are seeking a Lead Software Development Engineer in Test. The role involves designing and maintaining automated test frameworks, leading testing strategies, and ensuring data quality across various platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks to validate data pipelines and large-scale data processing systems
- Develop and execute automated tests to ensure accuracy, completeness and integrity of data across ETL processes and data platforms
- Define and lead test strategies, plans, and automation approaches aligned with agile development methodologies
- Performs data quality validation, like schema checks, business rule verification, and data consistency testing
- Cross Team collaborations – with software engineers, architects, and DevOps teams to integrate automates testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Analyze defects, perform root cause analysis and track quality metrics to ensure deliverables adhere to reliability and performance standards
- Review requirements, user stories and technical documentation to ensure test coverage and early defect identification
- Lead and coordinate testing activities across onshore and offshore teams, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes
- Participate in stakeholder discussions to understand business requirements and translate them into effective testing solutions
- Identify risks, recommend mitigation strategies and drive continuous improvements in testing and quality processes
Requirements:
- Master's Degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Information Science or related field
- Requires 2 years of experience in the job offered or Sr. Engineer-Software, Analyst & Designer, Technical Lead-Software, Lead QA Automation Engineer, QA Lead / Test Lead or related field
- Required experience must include experience in Hadoop, Cassandra, SQLite, Tableau, Apache Superset, Python, SQL, ETL/ELT, Data Models, Data Process, Azure Databricks, HDFS, Synapse, Analytical Framework, Visualization/Analytics, Pyspark, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, PowerBI, Power Query, DAX, Git
- Requires relocation to unanticipated client sites throughout the United States
