Process Safety Engineer (PHA Facilitation)

aeSolutions is a consulting, engineering, and systems integration company specializing in industrial process safety and automation services. The Process Safety Engineer will facilitate PHA/LOPA studies, support complex process safety management projects, oversee junior staff, contribute to proposals, perform QA/QC, and lead multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a Facilitator for PHA/LOPA studies
• May also be involved in complex PSM projects as an Auditor or Lead Assessor on Facility Siting projects depending on skill set and previous experience
• Provide oversight to junior-level staff
• Support proposal development
• Provide QA/QC on deliverables
• Serve as Technical Lead on projects with multiple diverse team members

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in Process Safety related to PHA/LOPA methodology, PSM/RMP program development and auditing, consequence modeling, and/or facility siting
• The willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% of the time; Valid driver's license required
• Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, and work independently with minimal supervision
• The ability to work well in both team-based and independent situations
• Outstanding problem-solving skills with a knack for thinking creatively
• Formal training in PHA and/or LOPA desired
• Experience in PHA, consequence modeling, and/or QRA software desired
