The Retail & Hospitality Information Sharing and Analysis Center (RH-ISAC) is a community focused on cybersecurity information sharing for the retail and hospitality sectors. The Business Intelligence & Data Science Analyst will design, build, and advance the organization’s analytics capabilities, delivering insights and automation to support data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and scalable data models to support leadership and operational analytics
- Automate data ingestion, transformation, and refresh processes to ensure reliable, timely, and maintainable analytics delivery
- Enable and expand self-service analytics capabilities by developing reusable datasets, standardized reporting layers, and intuitive dashboards
- Deliver recurring and ad hoc reporting, scorecards, and actionable insights aligned to organizational priorities, including analysis of member participation, adoption, engagement, and impact
- Apply advanced analytical techniques such as trend analysis, segmentation, and predictive modeling where appropriate
- Leverage AI-enabled tools (including Microsoft Copilot) to enhance analysis, automation, and insight generation
- Develop and maintain data transformation logic using SQL, Power Query, or similar tools, and contribute to improvements in data architecture and system design
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and ongoing quality monitoring across systems
- Identify and resolve data inconsistencies, gaps, and structural issues
- Apply and evolve data definitions, taxonomies, and business logic to ensure consistency and usability across analytics outputs
- Partner with stakeholders to define KPIs, data requirements, and translate business needs into technical analytics solutions
- Identify trends, anomalies, patterns, and engagement indicators within data and communicate actionable insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Provide recurring and ad hoc reporting, dashboards, and analytics to internal teams, leadership, and other stakeholders to support strategic planning and operational decision-making
- Assist with configuration, administration, and operational management of internal IT and cybersecurity tools
- Contribute to improving internal security controls and operational processes
- Draft and maintain technical documentation for systems, tools, and procedures
- Perform additional duties as needed to support RH-ISAC operations and its mission to strengthen member security and risk management capabilities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in data analytics, data science, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related technical roles
- Strong experience building dashboards and data models in Power BI (including DAX & Power Query)
- Proficiency in SQL and working with structured and semi-structured data
- Experience performing data validation, transformation, and analysis across multiple data sources
- Ability to translate data into clear visualizations and written insights for non-technical audiences
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work on recurring timelines
- Experience applying data science or advanced analytics techniques to real-world problems
- Familiarity with Python, R, or similar tools for data analysis and automation
- Experience working with Salesforce data, reporting, or analytics
- Experience integrating data from multiple systems and platforms
- Experience developing data warehousing strategies and implementation plans
- Familiarity with cloud-based data or analytics environments
- Experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to support analytics workflows
- Experience automating data processes and reporting workflows
- Exposure to cybersecurity, technology, or member-driven organizations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
