UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Bilingual English / Spanish Customer Service Representative to join their team. In this role, you will provide exceptional service and support to members and providers, addressing inquiries and navigating complex situations while contributing to the company's mission of improving healthcare access and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted resource by providing exceptional service and support to members and/or providers
- Answer incoming inquiries and determine the appropriate assistance needed
- Listen actively, ask thoughtful questions, and accurately document information in multiple systems
- Research and resolve questions, concerns, and issues through real-time problem-solving and follow-up
- Navigate multiple applications and resources to gather information and resolve inquiries efficiently
- Communicate complex information in a clear, simple, and easy-to-understand manner
- Collaborate with teammates and business partners to deliver effective solutions and positive outcomes
- Meet established goals related to quality, productivity, customer satisfaction, accuracy, and attendance
- Continuously learn and apply new skills, processes, and industry knowledge to support success
Requirements:
- High School Diploma / GED
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 1+ years of customer service experience in an office OR professional setting
- Bilingual Fluency in English and Spanish
- Experience using computers as primary work tool
- This position will receive calls up to 50-70 calls daily and requires full attention to work duties. Employees in this role must ensure they will have uninterrupted work time while they are on shift (outside of normally scheduled breaks and lunch)
- Capability to successfully complete the Customer Service training classes and demonstrate proficiency of the material
- Ability to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00am - 8:00pm CST, Monday - Friday
- Experience in a healthcare, insurance, medical, or dental environment
- Customer service call center experience
- Experience researching or processing healthcare claims
- Familiarity with medical and/or dental terminology, claims processing, coding, benefit plans, and health plan documents
- Experience navigating multiple systems while assisting customers
