AI Agent Engineer

Maven is seeking an innovative and product-driven AI Agent Engineer to design, build, and operationalize autonomous AI agents. This role involves creating intelligent systems capable of multi-step reasoning and automating complex enterprise tasks by bridging advanced Large Language Models with real-world business systems.

Responsibilities:

• Designing robust agentic architectures, multi-agent systems, and orchestration logic, including core services for runtime, memory, state, tool invocation, sandboxing, and lifecycle management
• Building automated evaluation harnesses and observability pipelines to measure and monitor agent accuracy, reasoning capability, latency, and operational cost, ensuring consistent performance in production
• Implementing operational guardrails, error handling, human-in-the-loop fallback mechanisms, and access controls to ensure safe, predictable, and compliant agent behavior
• Optimizing agent infrastructure for low latency, high throughput, and reliability at scale, collaborating with infrastructure teams for efficient resource utilization and cost management
• Partnering with product managers, data scientists, and UX designers to translate workflows into seamless AI-native experiences, shaping strategic planning and technical roadmaps
