The Senior Business Process Analyst serves as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, driving initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness while analyzing business needs and documenting requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Develops knowledge of the global process design, deploys modules and configurations for the defined business process area and can incorporate specific CooperSurgical business process knowledge
- Assists in the implementation of software solutions including test script development, end user testing, and support for computer systems validation prior to launch; if needed, provides ongoing user support of the implemented software and processes
- For the defined functional process areas, participates in prioritization, strategic direction, performance analysis and action plans for the organization. This could include capturing metrics to monitor and evaluate the performance of specific processes, leading to continuous improvement opportunities
- Is part of process action teams (local, Regional, and Global) for the assigned process areas to assist process definition and descriptions, process training plans, and deployment. Will need to collaborate with other resources within the business as well as within IT to accomplish this
- Builds and sustains strong relationships, provides persuasive communication and works as an advocate for represented business areas
- Prepares documentation on all phases of processes and modification of existing processes and procedures. Specifically, documentation should include policies, procedures, work instructions, standard operating procedures and process flow maps at a minimum. There will be a need to assist in the documentation of requirements, designs and specifications as well
- Assists in training and validating the work of the local/regional/global business teams relative to the new business process deployment (maybe technology enabled)
- Keeps leadership well informed on a timely basis of progress, status, and concerns for each assignment
- Effectively communicates ideas and information with peers, management, and customers
- Provides ongoing support and troubleshooting of deployed processes and procedures
- Represents the business from a Quote-to-Cash perspective in its interaction with the IT organization
- Works across organizational boundaries to document and develop functional specifications / requirements to support for the design, development, testing of new processes and procedures
- Participates in Business Process Definition Workshops
- Champions process standardization
- Provides support to the IT Functional Business Process Lead as needed
- Coordinates with other similar positions and project resources to ensure cross-process effectiveness
- Documents 'as is' and 'to be' business processes to support requirements
- Participates in system-based process walkthroughs
- Writes and grooms requirements and test scripts
- Validates if system design meets process goals and agreed requirements
- Participates in the development and delivery of training and scripts to support User Acceptance Testing
- Supports the review and validation of key business scenarios
- Participates in identifying and building key business scenarios
- Participates in User Acceptance test activities, document test results
- Drives change requests
- Develops, together with the business process owner work instructions, process flows and standard operating procedures
- Assists with development of training materials, review and approve training materials
- Perform training as required
- Act as 'super user' and advisor to process participants
- Be an active participant in the change management process
- Monitor process performance
Requirements:
- 5-7 years' experience in systems implementation, preferably in a global ERP implementation in a regulated industry (life science, medical devices, or pharmaceutical organizations preferred)
- Experience in functional business process analysis, change management, business requirements writing, business process optimization and use case development and documentation
- Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11, GLP / GMP, SOX, SOC2 compliance desired
- Intimate knowledge of existing processes in their functional areas. Additionally, knowledge of the information that is required for cross-functional processes will be required
- Strong business analysis skills required, data driven mindset
- Excellent knowledge of the business enterprise functions and processes
- Ability to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels of the organization

- Bachelor of Science Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience is preferred
- Knowledge of supporting systems may be required (Microsoft Dynamics, eCommerce, D365 CRM, EDI, Navision, etc.) depending on the functional area of responsibility
- Exposure to working with Lean, Agile, Scrum and/or CCPM methodologies a plus
- Intermediate skill in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Advanced preferred. Smartsheet, Jira, Azure Dev Ops a plus
