Recruiting from Scratch is representing a leading identity verification and fraud prevention company helping financial institutions and fintechs. They are seeking a Technical Product Manager to own the product strategy and execution for internal data platforms, collaborating with various teams to enhance the quality and reliability of data systems.
Responsibilities:
- Own the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for internal data platforms, services, and technical infrastructure
- Drive product initiatives that improve the quality, reliability, and scalability of core datasets and shared internal systems
- Partner closely with Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, and Product teams to define requirements and deliver technical solutions
- Prioritize competing technical initiatives while balancing immediate business needs with long-term platform investments
- Lead cross-functional programs focused on data infrastructure, machine learning platforms, and internal tooling
- Define success metrics and measure product performance across internal systems and data products
- Improve data quality, ingestion, normalization, modeling, and platform usability for internal stakeholders
- Translate highly technical concepts into clear product requirements and execution plans
- Collaborate with engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle, from discovery through implementation and launch
- Help shape the long-term technical vision for the company's internal data ecosystem
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Technical Product Management, or equivalent cross-functional leadership roles
- Previous experience as a Software Engineer, Data Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist, or highly technical analytics professional before transitioning into Product
- Strong experience managing data-intensive products, internal platforms, or infrastructure-focused initiatives
- Deep understanding of data pipelines, data ingestion, normalization, modeling, and large-scale data systems
- Experience working with modern big data technologies such as Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
- Familiarity with Python, AWS, SQL, and modern cloud-based data platforms
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work closely alongside engineering and data science organizations
- Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives involving multiple cross-functional stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and business audiences
- Experience within fintech, fraud prevention, identity verification, payments, financial infrastructure, or cybersecurity
- Startup experience, particularly at Series B or Series C companies
- Experience building internal developer platforms, data infrastructure, or machine learning platforms
- Familiarity with AWS, Go, PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, or related backend technologies
- Experience supporting ML-driven products, analytics platforms, or data science infrastructure
- Founder or entrepreneurial experience with a strong ownership mentality
- Demonstrated success balancing long-term platform investments with near-term product delivery
- Strong systems thinking and passion for solving highly technical product challenges
