Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) for Associate Relations. This role is responsible for managing Associate Relations matters, ensuring compliance with policies, and conducting workplace investigations to foster a positive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Serves as a key advisor to leadership on how to align HR strategy with business objectives and organizational goals
- Supports leadership in ensuring the company is compliant with current employment laws and regulations; ensuring that MWHC Policies and Procedures and MWHC Associate Handbook are relevant and updated
- Consults with leaders on a variety of matters including corrective actions, mitigating risk, policy clarification, ensuring compliance, and discrimination and harassment complaints. Assists in resolving or preventing negative workplace conflicts, grievances, and disagreements by creating action plans to address problem areas where disparate treatment/impact is identified
- Leads thorough and impartial investigations into workplace complaints, including interviews, evidence collection, and report preparation. Ensures investigations align with company policies, employment laws (EEO, ADA, FMLA, Title VII), and best practices
- Assists with internal audits of Associate Relations issues and processes to identify possible violations or gaps and makes recommendations of appropriate actions to resolve issues
- Partners with HR leadership in the effective implementation and continuous improvement of HR policies, practices, and programs
- Leverages HRIS and data analytics to provide insights and proactive recommendations for workforce metrics, trends, training needs, and operational performance
- Maintains advanced knowledge of Human Resource principles and standards and proactively shares credible consultation and best practices to stakeholders
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of five years progressive HR experience with employee relations and HR investigations required
- SHRM or PHR certification required
- Experience conducting interviews, gathering evidence, and analyzing case findings required
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with and influence others required
- Proficiency in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
- Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to be resourceful required
- High degree of time management, customer responsiveness, and service orientation required
- Human Resources or business-related field preferred
- Shared services experience preferred
- Workday experience preferred
