Controls & Automation Engineer Specialist II

The Automation Engineer Specialist II will monitor and evaluate automated systems, ensuring optimal operation while also being responsible for automation of production lines and integration of test equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Program, troubleshoot, and maintain Allen Bradley PLCs, robots, and automated equipment
• Support automation projects, process improvements, and equipment optimization
• Conduct feasibility studies and implement efficiency improvements
• Maintain SOPs, work instructions, maintenance records, drawings, and manuals
• Manage tooling, spare parts, and preventive maintenance activities
• Train employees on automated systems and support equipment launches
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, ISO 14001, and IATF 16949 requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or related Science Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of Allen Bradley PLC programming experience
• Experience with robotics, automation systems, and manufacturing equipment
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience supporting preventive maintenance programs
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
• Ability to read electrical schematics, drawings, and technical documentation
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required
• Commitment to workplace safety, quality, and continuous improvement
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 preferred
