Software Development Engineer in Test

Bright Vision Technologies is a technology consulting and software development company delivering cloud, AI, data, and enterprise solutions across the United States. They are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test to improve test automation practices, design frameworks, and collaborate with development teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and continuously improve automation frameworks
• Write production-quality test code
• Partner with development teams to embed quality engineering throughout the SDLC
• Translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions
• Raise the bar through code review, design review, and mentorship of more junior engineers

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Five or more years of experience as an SDET or in test-focused software engineering roles
• Strong programming skills in at least one of Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#
• Hands-on experience with at least one major UI automation framework (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)
• Solid experience automating REST and/or gRPC APIs
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for test automation
• Solid SQL skills and experience with database validation
• Strong understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and modern web architectures
• Excellent debugging, communication, and documentation skills
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Experience with contract testing tools (Pact, Spring Cloud Contract)
• Hands-on performance testing with JMeter, Gatling, k6, or Locust
• Exposure to security testing tools (OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, Snyk)
• Familiarity with chaos engineering and resilience testing
• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification
