Project Manager Texas

Carrier Global Corporation is a global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions, dedicated to innovations that enhance comfort, safety, and sustainability. They are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee data center construction projects, focusing on the startup, commissioning, and warranty management of air- and water-cooled chillers.

Responsibilities:

• Lead startup, commissioning, and warranty processes for Carrier air- and water-cooled chillers in newly constructed data centers
• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, ensuring schedules and budgets are met
• Track and review key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor project success
• Conduct progress meetings with stakeholders, addressing design, material delivery, and labor schedules
• Ensure all projects meet or exceed booked profit margin goals
• Work with project coordination to order and track all chiller parts needed for warranty execution
• Collaborate with sales, prime contractors, and end-users to fulfill project scope and deliverables
• Serve as the primary liaison representing Carrier between the customer, commissioning authority (CxA), general contractor, and subcontractors, ensuring smooth communication and project progression
• Provide professional, timely resolution for customer concerns, ensuring satisfaction with all aspects of project execution
• Interpret and apply mechanical, electrical, and architectural drawings to ensure compliance with design specifications
• Ensure adherence to industry codes, standards, and project specifications
• Apply working knowledge of Building Automation System (BAS) integration to ensure proper controls functionality
• Manage the change order process, preventing scope creep and maintaining project integrity
• Accurately forecast monthly revenue by estimating project completion costs
• Manage project documentation, including warranty processing and factory-generated service information in collaboration with our Service Engineering team
• Maintain rigorous job safety standards across all projects

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• 5+ years of project management experience, or 4+ years in mechanical installation, building automation, electrical installation, or construction
• 2+ years reading and interpreting blueprints, and technical mechanical systems documents
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering; or a Master's degree/MBA
• Data center industry experience with water- or air-cooled chillers
• Commercial HVAC expertise, including centrifugal chillers, CDU systems, and airside equipment
• PMP certification
• LEED certification or experience with Building Automation Systems
• Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Proven strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong ability to build rapport and trust with customers through active listening and effective solutions
