About this role
Kelly Tutors is an edutainment-focused organization that blends tutoring and cultural commentary to help kids learn in a fun way. They are seeking an intern to support the launch of a children’s book series and related social media marketing, with responsibilities including content planning, research, and collaboration on creative campaigns.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and scheduling social media content
- Drafting captions
- Selecting visuals
- Coordinating posts to promote the book series and Kelly Tutors’ programs
- Researching trends and relevant accounts in children’s education, entrepreneurship for kids, and family-focused content
- Tracking engagement metrics
- Gathering feedback
- Suggesting content experiments to improve reach and impact
- Collaborating with the founder on creative campaigns, launch timelines, and cross-promotion with classes and resources
Requirements:
- Strong interest in children's education, edutainment, or entrepreneurship for kids, with an ability to adapt messaging to parents and young learners
- Experience or coursework in social media marketing, content creation, or digital communication (e.g., TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Linkedin, and/or similar platforms)
- Solid writing and editing skills for short-form content, including captions, hooks, and simple storytelling aligned with a playful, energetic brand voice
- Basic familiarity with design or media tools (such as Canva, simple video editors, or social media schedulers) and comfort working in a remote, online environment
- Reliable time management and organization skills suitable for a part-time internship (2–4 hours/week), with the ability to meet deadlines and follow launch plans
- Curiosity, creativity, and willingness to test new ideas, analyze engagement, and iterate based on results; prior experience with children's content or publishing is a plus
- Currently enrolled in or recent completion of a program in marketing, communications, education, media, or a related field
