Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join their technical team. The role focuses on ensuring the reliability and performance of software solutions, particularly in supporting FedRAMP environments, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing high-level client support.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize advanced debugging tools, simulations, and custom scripts to isolate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software defects
• Provide guidance for system installations, including the creation and maintenance of comprehensive technical documentation and training material
• Act as a primary point of contact for customers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring clear and consistent communication regarding status updates, interventions, and resolutions
• Maintain meticulous records of customer requirements, system issues, and interaction logs
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to ensure the continuous availability and security of production environments

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in software Quality Assurance
• Minimum of 2 years of experience developing automated test solutions using Python, Go, or similar programming languages
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Apache Spark, and AWS Lambda
• Must be a United States citizen currently residing within the contiguous 48 United States to support FedRAMP-regulated environments
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation for incident support
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
• Strong advocacy for modern software development lifecycles, including Test Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Delivery (CD)
• Proven experience working within AWS GovCloud and FedRAMP-compliant environments
• Familiarity with open-source technologies such as Docker and Apache Kafka
• Experience in security software quality assurance (web or email security experience is highly desirable)
• Proficiency with Jira-Xray for test management
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development frameworks
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and client needs
