AWS Cloud Engineer

HYGIA is seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Engineer with strong DevOps experience to build, manage, and optimize the infrastructure supporting their SaaS platform. The role involves ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of cloud-native applications while collaborating with engineering and operations teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design, provision, and manage AWS-based infrastructure using best practices for security, scalability, and availability
• Implement and manage VPCs, subnets, IAM, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and other AWS services supporting our SaaS platform
• Automate infrastructure deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar) to support automated testing, building, and deployment of applications
• Drive adoption of infrastructure automation, configuration management, and container orchestration with Kubernetes and Docker
• Build self-service tooling and deployment frameworks to empower engineering teams
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog
• Drive incident response for cloud infrastructure-related outages and performance issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quick resolution and root cause analysis
• Improve system reliability through blameless postmortems and proactive observability improvements
• Apply AWS security best practices including encryption, IAM policies, security groups, and audit logging
• Support SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and other compliance requirements by ensuring appropriate controls are implemented and monitored
• Collaborate with Security and Engineering teams to maintain secure CI/CD practices and cloud configurations
• Partner with software engineers and QA to align infrastructure capabilities with application architecture
• Research and evaluate emerging cloud technologies and DevOps tools to continuously improve our cloud ecosystem
• Participate in infrastructure and architecture planning to ensure long-term scalability and maintainability
