About this role

North Star Labs is a senior-only software consultancy that places senior engineers with healthcare, insurance, and fintech clients. We're hiring a Senior Fabric Data Engineer to build the pipelines, models, and data agents that turn raw client data into something analytics and AI can consume.

Responsibilities:

Build pipelines, lakehouses, semantic models, and ontologies in Microsoft Fabric
Develop Fabric data agents that power analytics and AI use cases
Own delivery end to end and work directly with client teams

Requirements:

6–8+ years of data engineering; 2+ years on Fabric / AI data solutions
Fabric Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse, SQL
Python, PySpark, Power BI / DAX, dimensional modeling
Fabric data agents, Purview
Clear client communication and the autonomy to run your own workstream
Azure certifications, especially DP-700 or DP-600 (or equivalent hands-on depth)
Experience in regulated domains (HIPAA / SOC 2 / PCI)
