Application Engineering Specialist

Hitachi Energy is seeking an innovative Application Engineering Specialist to support their Transformers business by developing and delivering technical solutions. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, engaging directly with customers, and providing essential engineering insight to strengthen customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product management and business development to shape application strategies
• Support sales teams through technical training, presentations, and solution expertise
• Provide consultative engineering support to production and operations teams
• Develop and promote effective tools, equipment, and methods for transformer components
• Lead advanced engineering assignments using innovative techniques
• Drive improvements that elevate customer satisfaction and product acceptance
• Coordinate testing, manufacturing, and installation activities
• Serve as a technical liaison for internal teams and external customers

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in transformer components or related engineering
• Strong knowledge of design, manufacturing, and testing processes
• Proven ability to manage complex technical projects
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience providing customer‑facing technical support is a plus
