Vice President of Project Management

Wny Medical is seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Vice President of Project Management to lead their global Project Management Office (PMO) and oversee enterprise-wide project execution. The VP will be responsible for driving project governance, portfolio management, program delivery, operational excellence, and enterprise transformation initiatives that support the company's strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the company's enterprise Project Management strategy aligned with corporate objectives
• Establish and lead a world-class Enterprise Project Management Office (PMO)
• Define project governance standards, methodologies, policies, and best practices
• Lead enterprise portfolio planning, project prioritization, and investment governance
• Advise executive leadership on strategic initiatives, organizational transformation, and project performance
• Present portfolio updates, project health reports, risk assessments, and executive recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement
• Drive enterprise-wide project management maturity and operational excellence
• Oversee a portfolio of enterprise-wide strategic projects and transformation programs
• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, within budget, and according to quality standards
• Prioritize initiatives based on strategic value, resource availability, and return on investment (ROI)
• Manage program interdependencies and enterprise resource allocation
• Lead executive steering committees and portfolio governance meetings
• Develop project roadmaps and long-term delivery strategies
• Monitor project progress, milestones, deliverables, and business outcomes
• Ensure alignment between project execution and organizational strategy
• Standardize project management methodologies across the organization
• Implement Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Waterfall, Hybrid, and Lean project delivery frameworks where appropriate
• Develop project management templates, reporting standards, and governance controls
• Establish project quality assurance processes and compliance requirements
• Improve project execution efficiency through automation and workflow optimization
• Monitor project financial performance, schedules, and resource utilization
• Drive continuous improvement across project delivery processes
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance and regulatory standards
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate enterprise project risks and dependencies
• Develop proactive risk management and contingency planning strategies
• Oversee project budgets, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting
• Optimize project staffing, workforce planning, and capacity management
• Manage vendor relationships and third-party project delivery
• Resolve executive-level project escalations and critical delivery issues
• Improve project predictability through data-driven decision-making
• Maximize business value and project return on investment
• Lead enterprise digital transformation and business process improvement initiatives
• Partner with Engineering and Product teams to optimize development and delivery processes
• Implement AI-powered project analytics, reporting automation, and predictive forecasting
• Introduce modern project management technologies and collaboration platforms
• Drive Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives
• Improve operational scalability and organizational agility
• Support enterprise system implementations and technology modernization programs
• Promote innovation throughout the project management organization
• Develop and monitor executive-level KPIs, including: Project Delivery Success Rate, On-Time Project Delivery, Budget Performance, Schedule Variance, Resource Utilization, Portfolio Return on Investment (ROI), Project Quality Score, Strategic Initiative Completion Rate, Benefits Realization, Risk Mitigation Effectiveness, Change Request Rate, PMO Maturity Index, Customer Satisfaction (CSAT), Executive Stakeholder Satisfaction, Program Health Score
• Develop executive dashboards, portfolio scorecards, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), board presentations, and enterprise project performance reports
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, Operations, Information Technology, Human Resources, Legal, Procurement, and Executive Leadership
• Coordinate enterprise-wide strategic initiatives across multiple business functions
• Support mergers and acquisitions (M&A), enterprise system implementations, product launches, and international expansion projects
• Align project priorities with corporate strategy and operational goals
• Facilitate executive governance meetings and strategic planning sessions
• Strengthen collaboration among business units and global teams
• Ensure transparent communication with executive stakeholders
• Represent the PMO within the Executive Leadership Team
• Recruit, mentor, and develop PMO Directors, Program Directors, Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, Scrum Masters, Agile Coaches, Portfolio Managers, Business Analysts, and PMO Analysts
• Build and scale a high-performing global Project Management organization
• Develop succession planning, leadership coaching, and professional development programs
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning
• Establish project management competency frameworks and career progression pathways
• Promote industry certifications and leadership development initiatives
• Improve employee engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness
• Lead organizational transformation across the PMO

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Management, or a related field
• 20+ years of progressive experience in Project Management, Program Management, Portfolio Management, PMO Leadership, or Operations Management
• 10+ years of leadership experience managing enterprise PMOs or global project organizations
• Proven success delivering large-scale, cross-functional, multi-million-dollar strategic initiatives
• Strong expertise in Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Waterfall, Portfolio Management, Risk Management, Change Management, and Digital Transformation
• Experience presenting to executive leadership, Boards of Directors, and senior stakeholders
• Exceptional leadership, communication, organizational, analytical, and strategic planning skills
• MBA or Master's degree preferred
• Experience in SaaS, FinTech, Blockchain, Cryptocurrency, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing, Enterprise Software, Healthcare, Manufacturing, or other complex industries is highly preferred
