Seeking an experienced SAP Business Analyst with a strong Finance background and deep expertise in Record-to-Report (R2R) and SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) to support a leading high-tech education organization. This role will partner closely with Finance, Accounting, Revenue Operations, Technology, and business stakeholders to optimize financial processes, support SAP enhancements, and drive strategic initiatives across an evolving digital subscription and revenue ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will possess a blend of functional SAP expertise, financial acumen, and business analysis skills, with experience supporting complex revenue recognition processes in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between Finance, Accounting, Revenue Operations, and IT teams.
• Gather, document, and translate business requirements into SAP solutions and functional specifications.
• Support and optimize Record-to-Report (R2R) processes, including:
• General Ledger
• Financial Closing
• Fixed Assets
• Intercompany Accounting
• Financial Reporting
• Reconciliations
• Lead analysis, configuration support, and continuous improvement initiatives within SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR).
• Partner with Finance leadership to ensure compliance with ASC 606 / IFRS 15 revenue recognition requirements.
• Support subscription-based, SaaS, digital products, and complex contract revenue models.
• Facilitate workshops and requirements sessions with business stakeholders.
• Analyze process gaps and recommend scalable SAP solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Develop business process documentation, functional designs, test plans, and training materials.
• Coordinate and support SIT, UAT, defect resolution, and production deployments.
• Collaborate with SAP technical teams, system integrators, and third-party vendors.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close activities as needed.
• Participate in SAP S/4HANA transformation, enhancement, and optimization initiatives.
• Drive process standardization, automation, and reporting improvements across Finance functions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of SAP Business Analyst experience supporting Finance organizations.
• Strong domain expertise in SAP Record-to-Report (R2R) processes.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR).
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles, including ASC 606.
• Experience supporting SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Ability to create functional specifications and support end-to-end solution delivery.
• Experience performing requirements gathering, process mapping, testing, and stakeholder management.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with executives and business users.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
