Sr. Software Engineer

Blue Yonder is a company focused on delivering innovative software solutions, and they are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive product development and improve delivery effectiveness. The role involves providing enterprise solutions for cloud infrastructure and application deployment, as well as collaborating with teams to enhance the Data Platform.

Responsibilities:

• Drive product development features across the organization in software development, deployment, and infrastructure consistency, focusing on innovation and improving delivery effectiveness
• Provide standardized enterprise solutions for cloud infrastructure and application deployment across multiple products
• Apply the appropriate software engineering patterns utilizing a meta-driven systems approach to build robust and scalable systems
• Be an expert in object oriented and functional programming and apply skills in developing Blue Yonder products
• Influence fellow engineers by proposing software designs, providing feedback on software designs and/or implementation
• Apply knowledge of large-scale Kubernetes systems, including how to sufficiently scale very large services in Kubernetes
• Envision and develop a library of frontend and backend integrations to a best-in-class broker platform that will help enhance the Blue Yonder Data platform while building and or continually enhancing best in class customer experiences across channels
• Be a change agent with technology development using cloud native architecture patterns in a distributed environment
• Collaborate with application teams for adoption of a single data platform
• Discover, understand, leverage, and expose new technologies and designs that will benefit the Data Platform
• Use software/tools including Java, Python, GitHub, GitHub Actions, SonarQube, Codacy, Checkmarx, GitHub Advance Security, Black Duck Hub, BlazeMeter, Artifactory, Docker; application architecture including scalable, resilient, event driven, secure multi-tenant Microservices architecture; cloud architecture including MS Azure (ARM templates, AKS, Virtue Networks, Event Hub, Azure AD) and platforms like Kubernetes and Kafka

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Management Information Systems, or a related field
• 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or in a related/similar position
• 5 years of experience in full stack development using Java, JavaScript, Node.js, React.js, Spring, Spring Boot, Python, and RDBMS
• Experience with public cloud technology stack in Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Experience with software tools including GitHub, GitHub Actions, SonarQube, Codacy, Checkmarx, GitHub Advance Security, Black Duck Hub, BlazeMeter, Artifactory, and Docker
• In lieu of a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience, employer will accept a Master's or foreign equivalent degree in the fields stated above and 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or in a related/similar position
• 3 years of experience in the skills sets stated above
