Substation Electrical Engineering Manager (PE) – Physical Design

Orpine Inc is a nationally recognized, woman-owned firm that connects bright minds to design safe, sustainable power systems and high-voltage substations. They are seeking an experienced Substation Electrical Engineering Manager to lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team, providing oversight for project resources and ensuring technical excellence in substation designs.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and inspire a talented and multi-disciplinary team delivering substation physical designs for utilities and EPC partners
• Provide strategic oversight for project resources, budgets, and client relationships
• Guide engineers through complex transmission and distribution projects
• Manage resources , performance, and development for a growing national substation group
• Review and approve design packages , drawings, and specifications for technical excellence
• Partner with leadership on business development and recruiting initiatives
• Champion a culture of learning , innovation, collaboration, and inclusion across the team

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's in electrical engineering
• an active PE license
• 15+ years of experience in physical substation design
• 4+ years in leadership
• Deep understanding of high-voltage substation design
