HR Business Partner – Part time

Stride, Inc. is a company dedicated to providing personalized learning powered by technology. They are seeking a part-time HR Business Partner to support assigned client groups with HR guidance, coaching, and solutions, while ensuring compliance with labor laws and driving continuous process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with managers and employees across assigned client groups to provide HR guidance, coaching, and solutions that support employee engagement, performance, and organizational effectiveness
• Serve as a trusted resource for employee and manager inquiries, resolving issues and conducting employee relations investigations in a fair, objective, and timely manner
• Support managers throughout the employee lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, employee development, conflict resolution, organizational changes, and offboarding
• Coordinate and administer HR processes and programs, including employee documentation, unemployment claims, exit interviews, workers compensation, ADA and other HR operational activities
• Support benefit administration, performance, compensation, and talent management processes to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with organizational goals
• Facilitate employee onboarding, training, and other learning and development initiatives that enhance employee effectiveness and engagement
• Maintain employee records and sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality, accuracy, and professionalism
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices while partnering with leadership and legal counsel as appropriate
• Participate in and lead HR projects, process improvement initiatives, workforce analytics, and other activities that enhance employee experience and support business objectives

Requirements:

• Associate degree in Human Resources or related field of study AND
• Two (2) years human resources generalist experience OR
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
• Demonstrates flexible leadership and proactive problem solving
• Highly skilled at goal setting, coaching, performance evaluation active listening feedback
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks/projects; ability to influence and negotiate
• Ability to take initiative, be innovative and work effectively in a variety of settings
• Knowledge of current State and Federal Wage, Employment Laws and HR policies and procedures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, to manage the administrative processes of an HR department, and to identify problems requiring escalation
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate sensitive and confidential matters effectively to all levels
• Must be able to work some evenings/weekends required if business needs dictate
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel; Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint; Basic proficiency with UltiPro or other Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS); Web proficiency
• Must have a valid driver's license to attend board meetings
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time to client sites, for meetings, etc
• Ability to pass required background check
• Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior PHR (SPHR), Society of Human Resources Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification
• Experience in education or curriculum development organizations
• Would prefer candidate to be within commuting distance to Maumee, OH
