Data QA Engineer

Tekgence Inc is seeking a Data QA Engineer with expertise in Snowflake, DBT, Matillion, and Azure DevOps to support data validation and testing in the financial services sector. The role involves end-to-end testing of data pipelines and ensuring data accuracy and compliance across enterprise data platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Perform end-to-end testing of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and reporting solutions using Snowflake, DBT, and Matillion
• Validate and reconcile financial data related to fixed income instruments (Bonds, MBS, ABS), mortgage loans, equities, and derivatives
• Develop and execute test cases, test plans, and automated validation frameworks
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, completeness, and consistency across multiple systems
• Collaborate with business, data engineering, and product teams in Agile/Scrum environments with two-week sprint cycles
• Support release validation, regression testing, and production issue analysis
• Utilize Azure DevOps for test management, defect tracking, and release coordination
• Verify compliance with financial reporting, audit, and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, DBT, Matillion, and Azure DevOps
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT testing, and data reconciliation
• Knowledge of financial products including Bonds, MBS, ABS, mortgage loans, equities, and derivatives
• Experience validating financial reports and regulatory data outputs
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills
• Experience working in Agile development environments
