Montgomery Parks’ Northern Parks Division is hiring a Senior Parks/Facilities Maintenance Worker at South Germantown Recreational Park. This is a stable, full-time position for someone who enjoys outdoor work, working with equipment, and being part of a reliable crew that maintains parks used by the community every day.
The South Germantown area includes five parks, with a large recreational park, local and conservation parks, nearly eleven miles of trails, twelve athletic fields, and six playgrounds. This team is responsible for maintaining these parks, so they are safe, clean, and welcoming for daily use, events, and recreation.
Working under the direction of a Parks Maintenance Leader, this role performs a wide range of hands-on maintenance work. Duties include operating equipment, maintaining grounds, fields, playgrounds, and trails, and supporting seasonal and special projects alongside other team members. The work is physical, varied, and essential to park operations.
This position offers steady work, clear expectations, and opportunities to build skills over time. Employees receive training, work with experienced staff, and have opportunities to develop additional equipment and maintenance skills. Schedules may include days, nights, and weekends as needed.
