Senior Sales Development Representative

Data Facts Background Screening is seeking a competitive and motivated Senior Sales Development Representative to join their team. This role is responsible for generating qualified meetings and sales opportunities for Account Executives, focusing on outbound prospecting and building a pipeline of high-quality leads.

Responsibilities:

• Execute high-volume outbound prospecting efforts via calls, email, and social channels
• Identify, engage, and qualify prospective clients to generate new business opportunities
• Schedule and secure qualified meetings for Account Executives, ensuring strong alignment with ideal customer profiles
• Own the top-of-funnel pipeline by consistently delivering a steady flow of high-quality meetings
• Conduct initial discovery conversations to understand prospect needs, pain points, and buying intent
• Partner closely with Account Executives to ensure smooth handoff of meetings and context
• Track, manage, and optimize meeting conversion rates (set ? held ? qualified ? closed)
• Maintain accurate records of activities and opportunities in CRM
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to refine messaging, targeting, and outreach strategies
• Continuously test, learn, and improve outreach strategies, scripts, and cadences
• Provide feedback on market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights
• Assist in developing SDR playbooks and processes as the team grows
• Step up as a leader—mentor future SDRs and help shape a high-performing team

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in a Sales Development Representative (SDR) or similar outbound sales role
• Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding quota, particularly in meeting-setting and pipeline generation
• Strong cold calling experience and comfort with high-volume outreach
• Competitive mindset with a strong desire to win and improve every day
• High energy, resilience, and a positive, 'no-quit' attitude
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and objection-handling skills
• Highly organized with strong time management and prioritization abilities
• Self-starter mentality with a desire to grow into leadership
• Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales engagement platforms
• Experience selling into HR, Talent Acquisition, or People Operations teams is a strong plus
• Experience in background screening is a plus, but not required
