Job Description:
>> Responsible for developing, maintaining, enhancing, and supporting business applications running on the IBM AS400 (IBM i) platform.
>> Works closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to deliver efficient, reliable, and high-quality software solutions.
Requirements:
>> 12+ years of AS400iSeries-based application development, support and enhancement experience
>> 8+ years COBOL & AS400iSeries architecture using ILE (COBOL, RPGLE, CLLE, QS36) + IBM DB2 (SQL, SPs, query optimization, green screen) with deep legacy modernization expertise
>> 8+ years experience in ILE modernization & AS400 performance optimization, including refactoring, tuning, and production stability
>> 3+ years of strong experience with IBM Liberty (WebSphere Liberty) & WebSphere in hybrid legacy-modern architectures
>> Advanced UnixLinux proficiency (scripting, job control, cross-platform support)
>> Expertise in IBM MQ (ILE MQ Series) & XML integration, including SSIS-based messaging workflows
>> Proven ability to architect scalable, high-performance, mission-critical systems bridging legacy and modern platforms
>> Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to gather, refine, and convert business requirements into functional requirements and working production code
>> Demonstrable ability to deliver high quality work in an iterative development model
>> Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
>> Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team.
>> Great work ethic meet deadlines, on-time, conscientious.
>> Creative, out of the box thinker for application solutions
>> Test-driven development is a plus.
