Project Manager, Civil Engineer

Haley & Aldrich is committed to solving clients’ most meaningful challenges in the built and natural environments. They are seeking a Project Manager, Civil Engineer to manage project teams and ensure successful project delivery while collaborating with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day management of project teams, with a focus on project delivery, quality, financial performance, and health and safety
• Ensure projects are executed to meet client requirements, regulatory standards, and company policies
• Lead all phases of the project lifecycle, including cost estimating and proposal preparation, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, staffing, project planning, execution, document preparation and review, and financial management
• Demonstrate technical competence, knowledge of codes and regulations, and professional standards of practice to assigned tasks
• Collaborate closely with internal project teams and field personnel, providing technical oversight, and reinforcing health and safety processes and procedures
• Communicate regularly and effectively with clients, partners, subcontractors, regulators, and other stakeholders
• Mentor, coach, and support staff to promote knowledge transfer and ensure high-quality technical work and deliverables
• Plan and execute work in accordance with company and client health and safety requirements
• Lead or support technical evaluations, design efforts, permitting, contract document development, and construction procurement support for civil and environmental projects
• Plan and execute work in accordance with company and client health and safety protocols, demonstrating the company’s foundational safety behaviors
• Develop technical scopes of work and cost estimates for small- to medium-sized hydrology and hydraulic proposals
• Manage hydrologic & hydraulics modeling, analysis, and design deliverables
• Perform hydrologic & hydraulic analyses and prepare design calculations and drawings using HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Assign and manage technical tasks with an emphasis on quality, efficiency, and schedule and budget adherence

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 8+ years of related experience
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in at least one state is required; registration in multiple states or the ability to obtain within a short time frame strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to lead project teams to deliver projects that meet client objectives
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and financial acumen
• Proficient computer literacy skills, including the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Project
• Civil and/or environmental engineering experience that spans the entire project lifecycle
• Proven experience preparing technical scopes of work and cost estimate preparation
• Willingness to travel as needed to support clients, projects, and team collaboration
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 2+ years of related project management, financial management, or task management experience
• Construction and/or construction management experience with civil and environmental projects
• OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER or MSHA 40-Hour Miner training and refresher updates
• Experience preparing regulatory permit applications and leading multidisciplinary teams on hydrology and hydraulics design projects
