Staff Software Engineer

HireQ Talent is a fast-growing technology company transforming the financial services industry through automation and AI. They are seeking an experienced Senior or Staff Software Engineer to build the next generation of their platform, tackling technically challenging problems at significant scale.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and building sophisticated AI-powered workflow automation systems used by enterprise customers
• Developing integrations with third-party service providers to automate critical business processes
• Scaling and enhancing cloud infrastructure to improve reliability, observability, and operational efficiency
• Building highly available distributed systems that support mission-critical business operations
• Collaborating closely with product, design, and business stakeholders to deliver impactful customer solutions

Requirements:

• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• Minimum 5 years operating at a Senior Engineer level or above
• Strong full-stack development experience, from design through deployment
• Expertise with modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems
• Experience building and scaling cloud-native applications
• Strong understanding of software architecture and distributed systems
• Relational database design, performance optimisation, and data modelling experience
• Product-focused mindset with the ability to balance technical and business considerations
• Commitment to security, reliability, and operational excellence
• Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to team growth
• Able to work primarily within US business hours
• Remote within the United States
• Full-time permanent position

• Model evaluation, experimentation, and dataset design
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
• Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices
