Software QA Engineer I

Isolved is a leading provider of human capital management (HCM) solutions that combines modern technology with expert services and support. The Quality Assurance Engineer I will develop and support the execution of test plans, validate test cases, and ensure the end product meets quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Execute Test Plans
• Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers
• Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content
• Document test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards
• Test system modifications to prepare for implementation
• Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks
• Create or maintain databases of known test defects
• Use software testing programs
• Collaborate with other QA members, Teams, BA or PO to evaluate or diagnose problems and recommend possible solutions

Requirements:

• Ability to create clear, concise detail-oriented test plans/cases
• Ability to understand and create test plans from specifications or verbal communications
• Clear communicator (written and verbal) to ensure ability to write test plans and test cases
• Ability to communicate bugs to developers and other stakeholders
• Creative solving of technical problems to ensure the ability to translate technical requirements into test plans
• Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables to find bad defects and bugs quickly
• Ability to think abstract to ensure ability to not conform to the norm
• Eager to learn and grow
