Product Marketing Manager

Upwind Security is a next-generation Cloud Security Platform that leverages runtime context to identify and prioritize critical risks. They are seeking an experienced Product Marketing Manager to create compelling narratives that resonate with engineers and security leaders, collaborating closely with various teams to turn complex innovation into market-ready messaging.

Responsibilities:

• Own the technical narrative for GTM enablement. Partner with Product to define use cases, and build supporting assets and training material for new features and releases
• Create and execute high-impact technical content. From deep-dive technical blogs and solution guides to architecture explainers and product landing pages, produce content that security engineers and cloud teams actually want to read
• Partner closely with Content Marketing to translate complex messaging into creative content formats and experiences across written, social, video, and other formats
• Translate complex architecture into clear value. Turn runtime telemetry, eBPF instrumentation, Kubernetes metadata, identity context, and API flow mapping into differentiated, defensible positioning
• Support demand with technical credibility. Collaborate with Demand Gen to provide strong technical angles for campaigns, content offers, and field programs that educate buyers over time, not just capture leads
• Develop competitive and market POVs. Analyze the CNAPP and cloud security landscape to create technically grounded differentiation and comparison assets that stand up to scrutiny
• Keep our technical voice sharp. Ensure our product storytelling is precise, modern, and human: authoritative when discussing architecture, approachable when discussing customer value

Requirements:

• A proven track record of owning product marketing strategy end to end, from positioning and messaging through execution, at an enterprise SaaS company, ideally in cloud security or cloud infrastructure, with the judgment to operate independently in a fast-moving environment
• Deep technical curiosity, comfortable reading architecture docs, asking engineers hard questions, and understanding the full sales process from pitch to demo to POC to production
• Strong technical writing skills, with experience marketing to security engineers, DevOps teams, platform engineers, or CISOs, and a track record of earning credibility with technical audiences without oversimplifying or hiding behind jargon
• Hands-on execution mindset that goes beyond defining positioning to writing the blog, building the page outline, creating the sales asset, and getting it live
• Familiarity with cloud-native environments: Kubernetes, containers, APIs, IAM, vulnerability management, runtime security, CNAPP, CSPM, CWPP, code security, application security, shift-left security, SAST, or related domains
• Cross-functional fluency, translating between Engineering, Sales, and Marketing, and comfortable with CMS platforms, marketing automation tools like HubSpot, web tools like Webflow, analytics platforms, and enablement systems. Bonus for experience with demo tools like Storylane or other technical visualization tools
• Data-informed and impact-driven, energized by ambiguity and speed in a fast-moving startup, and motivated to help define how runtime-powered cloud security is understood in the market
