FreeCAD Mechanical Engineer

Mogi I/O is an innovative company focusing on OTT, podcast, and short video applications. They are seeking a Senior FreeCAD Mechanical Engineer to leverage their expertise in mechanical design and parametric CAD modeling to support the development of next-generation AI systems.

Responsibilities:

• Create, modify, and validate detailed parametric CAD models using FreeCAD according to project requirements
• Design, develop, and optimize mechanical assemblies while following industry best practices for component integration
• Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to ensure manufacturability and product quality
• Produce accurate technical drawings, engineering documentation, and manufacturing-ready design outputs
• Perform engineering quality assurance (QA) reviews of CAD models and technical drawings to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with specifications

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, product design, industrial engineering, or a related field with a strong focus on parametric CAD modeling
• Advanced proficiency in FreeCAD or a comparable parametric CAD platform
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, including GD&T and DFM
• Experience creating detailed technical drawings and manufacturing documentation
• Experience conducting engineering QA and verifying CAD model integrity against design specifications
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based environment
