ServiceNow Technical Specialist (HRSD/WSD, ITOM, ITSM & SPM)

• Candidate must report to Raleigh on Day 1 to collect equipment (at their own expense).
• Candidate (or vendor representative) must return equipment in Raleigh at the end of the assignment.
• Position is primarily remote; however, occasional onsite meetings in Raleigh are required.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Technical Specialist/Developer with strong expertise in HRSD, WSD, ITOM, ITSM, and Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, configuring, integrating, and supporting ServiceNow solutions while working closely with business and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and customize ServiceNow applications and modules.
• Configure workflows, forms, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and catalog items.
• Develop integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and web services.
• Customize ITSM, HRSD, WSD, ITOM, and SPM modules.
• Troubleshoot platform issues and resolve defects.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders.
• Follow ServiceNow development best practices.
• Participate in upgrades, patching, testing, and platform maintenance.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of ServiceNow development experience.
• Strong experience with:
  • HRSD
  • WSD
  • ITSM
  • ITOM
  • SPM
• Experience with web applications, networking, SMTP, and POP3.
• Knowledge of ITIL v3 methodologies.
• Understanding of enterprise IT architecture.
• Working knowledge of relational databases.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • JavaScript
  • HTML
  • XML
  • AJAX
  • CSS
  • HTTP
• Experience with LDAP and Active Directory/OpenLDAP/eDirectory.
• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
