Manager, Product Management

EMPLOYERS is a dynamic, fast-growing provider of workers' compensation insurance and services. The Manager, Product Management leads a team of product managers to drive execution, team development, and operational excellence, ensuring alignment with customer and business objectives. This role involves cross-functional collaboration, customer-centric decision-making, and continuous improvement to deliver integrated solutions and measurable impact.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of 2-3 product managers, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management
• Set clear individual goals, success metrics, and accountability measures
• Conduct regular one-on-ones and provide constructive feedback
• Identify skill gaps and implement targeted development plans to build team capabilities
• Create a collaborative, high-performing culture that embraces continuous learning and improvement

• Ensure the team executes on strategic priorities and delivers measurable impact to the organization

• Support go-to-market activities and product launch coordination
• Help translate complex product requirements into effective communication for stakeholders

Requirements:

• 6+ years of professional experience with demonstrated success in delivering results
• 2+ years of people leadership experience with evidence of successfully leading, mentoring, and developing team members
• Proven track record of managing full project/product lifecycle from concept through delivery
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to make data-driven decisions
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills (written, verbal, and visual) with ability to present complex information to diverse audiences
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and building effective stakeholder relationships
• Demonstrated customer-centric mindset with experience translating customer insights into actionable requirements
• Proficiency with relevant collaboration and project management tools
• Experience working in agile development environments
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and changing requirements
• High emotional intelligence and empathy; ability to understand and address team, customer, and stakeholder needs
• Comfortable in fast-paced environments subject to rapid change and innovation
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field
• 5+ years of product management experience
• Experience in enterprise software, financial services, or insurance product management
• Familiarity with agile/scaled product development frameworks
• Experience with roadmapping tools and analytics platforms
• Experience in fintech, enterprise software, or insurance technologies
