Senior Project Controls Manager

Advanced Electric Systems is a company that leverages Quanta’s resources to deliver solutions for energy infrastructure needs. The Senior Project Controls Manager is responsible for leading project controls functions across large, complex capital projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget by implementing effective project controls systems and processes.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all project controls activities for major projects or programs
• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
• Oversee cost management processes including budgeting, forecasting, earned value management (EVM), and change control
• Monitor project performance against scope, schedule, cost, and productivity baselines
• Prepare executive dashboards, KPI reports, and project performance analyses
• Manage project risk registers and support mitigation planning
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, finance, and operations teams
• Review contractor schedules, progress reports, and payment applications
• Establish project controls standards, procedures, and best practices
• Lead schedule risk analysis and scenario planning
• Support claims analysis, delay analysis, and recovery planning when required
• Mentor and supervise project controls engineers, schedulers, and cost analysts
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, company policies, and industry standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in project controls, cost engineering, or project management
• Experience managing large EPC, infrastructure, energy, industrial, or construction projects
• Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project
• Advanced proficiency with Excel
• Advanced proficiency with Power BI or similar reporting tools
• Advanced proficiency with Cost management systems (EcoSys, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
• Strong understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM)
• Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM)
• Strong understanding of forecasting and budgeting
• Strong understanding of change management
• Strong understanding of risk analysis
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
