Software Engineer

Tech Consulting is looking for a motivated Junior Data Engineer to join their growing data team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for candidates with a strong foundation in data engineering concepts to build scalable data pipelines and work with modern cloud technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines
• Assist in designing and managing data warehouses and data lakes
• Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction and transformation
• Monitor data quality and troubleshoot pipeline issues
• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and software engineers to support business requirements
• Work with cloud platforms and big data technologies to process large datasets

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 1–4 years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar role
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Python
• Basic understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Exposure to tools like Apache Spark, Airflow, Databricks, or Snowflake is a plus
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Knowledge of version control tools such as Git
• Understanding of data modeling and database design
• Relevant certifications are an added advantage
