Software Development Engineer III - Corporate Services

Premera Blue Cross is committed to improving customers' lives by transforming healthcare. They are seeking a Software Development Engineer III to support the Corporate Services team by building cloud-based solutions on Azure and enhancing employee experiences through innovative technology.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance solutions using Azure cloud technologies, RESTful .NET web API services, CI/CD, and TDD
• Build SQLs to extract data from RDBMS databases like SQL servers
• Build flows and automation on Power Platform
• Work with the product, architecture and business teams to influence and drive technical decisions within the team
• Work with a system improvement mindset. Provide technical advice to the team as and when needed
• Work in an agile team with the opportunity to pair and mob with other engineers
• Contribute to team’s engineering standards to build secure, durable and reliable solutions that meet Premera’s engineering excellence principles

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems, or 4 years equivalent experience
• 5 + years of software development experience
• Experience with Azure and a programming language like C#, Java
• Utilizing tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio MS SQL Server & Power Platform
• Experience working with cloud solutions
• Experience using and creating automated test tools
• Experience with live site culture is preferred
• Experience working in an Agile environment and familiarity with Agile delivery model
• Experience building applications, web apps, integrations, APIs in Azure
