Project Management Platform Contractor

Potomac Conservancy is the region’s leading clean water advocate, ensuring the Potomac River boasts clean drinking water and healthy lands. They are seeking an experienced Project Management and Strategic Planning Software expert to identify, implement, and train staff on a planning and project management platform.

Responsibilities:

• Meet with heads of all departments to determine departmental needs for project and strategic planning management system
• Identify platform options that consider project management and planning style of the organization, ease of use, and maintenance costs
• Based on organization’s choice of platform, coordinate with platform on purchase and set up, including migrating existing planning and project management information (currently collected in Microsoft Office platforms)
• Develop S.O.P. for the organization in the use and maintenance of the platform
• Train staff of use of developed system before April/May Annual planning process
• Evaluate and troubleshoot system after first use by staff

Requirements:

• Proven experience developing project and strategic planning systems for small to midsized nonprofit organizations
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Experience training staff to use planning systems
